Lakeland Model Village
FAMILY ATTRACTION LOCATED IN THE GROUNDS OF DAMSON DENE HOTEL
The Lakeland Model Village features over 100 buildings made of local Coniston slate, each lovingly constructed over the last 25 years by local builder Edward Robinson. Each building has been handcrafted to replicate some of Cumbria’s most iconic farms and cottages including Beatrix Potters house, Hilltop and the Bridge House, Ambleside.
Following Edward Robinson’s retirement, each building has been carefully relocated to its new home on the grounds of the Damson Dene Hotel set against the stunning backdrop of the Lyth Valley, allowing visitors and families the opportunity to enjoy their history once more.
After visiting the Lakeland Model Village, visitors can enjoy lunch in the hotel bar or day passes are available for the hotel swimming pool and leisure club.
The Model Village is open every day of the year 9am – 5:30pm. Visitors can purchase an entry token from the hotel reception.
Prices: Adults £5 / Children: £3 / Concessions £3.50 / Family Pass £12 (2 Adults + 2 chldren).
Dogs are welcome at the Lakeland Model Village, but we politely request that they are kept on a lead whilst visiting.
